In order to better serve our referring physicians and their patients, Nebraska Advanced Radiology is in the process of expanding the services they currently offer. The Nuclear Medicine Stress Test is a new service offered by the clinic.
Details
According to Mayoclinic.com, nuclear medicine stress test measures blood flow to your heart muscle both at rest and during stress on the heart. It’s performed similarly to a routine exercise stress test, but provides images that can show areas of low blood flow through the heart and areas of damaged muscle.
At Nebraska Advanced Radiology, physicians of the clinic use the nuclear medicine stress test to check for:
- Coronary Artery Disease
- Evaluation of the blood flow in heart
- Evaluation of cardiac output and wall motion
- Wall thickening of heart
- Chest pain
- History of prior heart disease
